Gardening has always been a part of life. With a father who loved his garden and a wife who’s just as passionate about ours, it’s no surprise that the same enthusiasm rubbed off on me.
One of the very first jobs, back in the early teens, was gardening for local residents — weeding away at thirteen and earning just a fiver for a morning’s work.
Although gardening hasn’t always been the main career, it’s always been a source of calm and satisfaction. There’s something deeply satisfying about working outdoors, seeing the difference a bit of care can make, and knowing that even a tiring day in the garden is time rewarding.
